Slip-n-Dip

I couldn't resist "borrowing" these photos from my SIL's blog (www.obryanttimes.blogspot.com). Luckily Amanda was at Slip-n-Dip today with my niece Abby and took these two shots. Anna Kate and Emma were so excited this morning about getting to go to Slip-n-Dip with the daycare. Anna Kate was especially excited because Ms. Anita had promised the "afterschoolers" that they would get to do the slide this time. Both of my girls love the water, and Anna Kate loves the slide. Emma will love it too whenever she finally gets the chance to try it. Our church is having a back to school bash there at the end of August for both kids and adults. I plan to take Emma down with me then. Should be fun! Thanks again to Amanda for sharing and for being there when I can't.

Hot Slumber Party

Our central air went out while we were asleep early Sunday morning. We have been without since then. Luckily Tim had a window unit that he could put in our bedroom window so we would be comfortable while we slept. Our parents offered for us to stay with them, but, as the saying goes, "There's no place like home." So, we stayed at home and tried to make the best of it. The girls were real troopers. They slept on our bedroom floor for four nights. Our new unit is supposed to be put in today. So excited about that, but I think the girls have enjoyed their nightly slumber party in our bedroom.

Goodbye for now

Just wanted to say a few words about my cousin Tiffany who passed away this past Saturday at the age of 21. She had a heart condition that was detected about three weeks ago. In addition to her parents, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss her dearly, she leaves a husband and two small children. Please be in prayer for this family as the funeral services are today.

Sunflowers

After seeing Amanda's sunflower pictures of Abby and Philip (www.obryanttimes.blogspot.com), I couldn't help but copy her idea. I am a sucker for pictures of my girls with flowers. Tim went with us, and he likes to joke that everything is "another photo op." The sunflowers were gorgeous. A sea of yellow. The pictures I took really don't do them justice. We had a large field of sunflowers at our house a few years ago, but I had forgotten how striking they are. The girls thought they were beautiful too, and they especially liked the large-headed ones. But they weren't fond of all the bees the flowers attract. I can't blame them. Here are a few of the pictures of our sweet little girls. Thanks to Amanda for "sharing" the sunflowers with me, and thanks to Samantha for helping with the outfits. Don't you just love your crazy sister-in-law!?!

Little Hannah Montana Fans

Aren't they cute? Anna Kate and Emma have anticipated for weeks the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus "Best of Both Worlds" 3-D Concert on the Disney Channel. It finally came on Saturday night. They were ready with their Hannah Montana pajamas and Hannah Montana 3-D glasses on and popcorn in hand. We had popcorn all over the floor from them getting up to dance along. It was fun.

Popsicle Mess

Amanda posted this on her blog, but I just had to share it here too. Emma was so looking forward to the ice cream truck coming to daycare last Friday. She is allergic to milk, so she can't have ice cream, but she was happy to get a green popsicle. What a mess, but she had so much fun! Thanks to Amanda for taking these pictures.

Making an Apron

Anna Kate made this apron in her GA class at church. The GA girls did a little bit on their aprons each Wednesday night during their class. They finished the aprons this past Wednesday. I thought it was so cute that I had to share. Now, if her momma could just teach her how to cook. Maybe that is a job for Granny and Aunt Samantha! Help!

Just Hot July

This is it. I finally have my blog updated with my favorite pictures from 2008. That is until I take more, which I plan to do this weekend. If weather and kids cooperate. Anyway, lots of pictures added below. Of course, this one is from the Fourth of July.
Priceless picture of my oldest, Anna Kate, being baptized. She was so excited, and we were so excited for her. Definitely a day to remember for always.

Jumping June

June was really jumping for us, in addition to softball and vacation, the girls enjoyed Vacation Bible School. The tropical theme was so much fun. I loved helping with Bible School this year. Bible School 2008 was so special for us this year because Anna Kate was saved at the conclusion of the week. Wonderful memories.
Each year during Bible School, the girls and I stop by the Hayes' Daylily Garden on our way home to take some pictures. The flowers are just gorgeous.

Love these sweet smiles. Anna Kate and Emma just love the daylilies too.

We have so much fun watching the daylilies grow and bloom out more as we ride by day after day during June.

Marvelous May

Here are my Mother's Day shots that Tim took. Love these precious moments with my girls.
These were fun pictures to take. Just happened to remember to take these flowers outside with us to use in the pictures.
The girls seemed to love taking pictures with their momma, which meant a lot to me.

Just had to get one of just them with their sweet matching dresses. Precious sisters.

Choir program at church. Emma and her buddies got to dress up in their pajamas for their program called P.J. Party (stood for Prayers to Jesus). Too cute!

Here's Anna Kate with her church choir. She is singing a solo in this picture. This was her first solo. She had an entire song to sing by herself, and she did a great job. Way to go Anna Kate!

Anna Kate's portrait picture for her 9th birthday. She is growing up too fast!

Anna Kate wanted to have a Hannah Montana makeup party. She dressed up in her Hannah Montana shirt and wig and played her guitar for this picture which I used for her birthday invitations.

Here Anna Kate is getting her makeup makeover. She and her buddies also got updos and manicures.

Striking a pose after their makovers. It was a fun day.

Tim's 36th birthday. Sweet picture of him with his girls.

Always Love April

Here is our family at Easter. I love spring and Eastertime. Really, it's my favorite time of the year.
These are some pictures I took of our girls in their matching Easter dresses.

Sweet smiles. Gotta love them!
I love taking pictures with flowers! Love spring flowers because of the colors.

The girls enjoyed a couple of fun Easter egg hunts in the community. They found tons of eggs.

Just a couple of sweet bunnies! Precious.

The girls love "playing" with daddy on the farm.

We enjoyed a fun visit with friends at Smith Lake. Anna Kate caught this huge catfish. She also catch a small fish.

This was Emma's first fishing experience, and boy was it a memorable one. And I am not just talking about her catching her first fish. She accidently walked off the fishing dock backwards and fell in. Wish I had gotten a picture of that. This picture was taken after we got her calmed down and cleaned up. She was so proud of her first fish.

March Madness

Love flowers! Here are Anna Kate and Emma with daffodils. I love daffodils. This patch is located across the street from our house.
Emma graduated to a "big girl" bike. It's actually Anna Kate's old bike. You can see her little bike in the background. She was so proud of herself, and so are we.
Talking about March Madness! How about the weather? The previous weekend I took pictures of them in summer clothing with the daffodils. And then here they are with snow. It didn't snow much, and what little we had was gone by the time I took these photos, but the girls had fun throwing snow balls at each other and me.

Sweet little picture of my Irish girls for St. Patrick's Day. Just a fun day.
