Emma's Field Trip

Emma and I had a fun time yesterday going on the kindergarten field trip to Tuscaloosa's Children's Hands On Museum.
Each group went to five stations. Emma's first station was about Indians. She said this was her favorite because she got to make a necklace.
Next they went to grandma's attic where they got to play dress up. The girls all got painted on eye lashes, and the boy's got painted mustaches. Aren't they cute?
Then it was time to play doctor. She loved this, especially getting to walk on crutches.
Then we were off to the beaver dam.
Their final station was the art/music room.
We ended the day with a visit to one of the park's for a picnic lunch. I enjoyed spending the day with her and her friends.

MS Walk

We had fun walking as a family in the MS Walk in honor of our brother-in-law/uncle Brandon. We love ya, Brandon!

Tales from the Crypt

Tim and I took the girls to Tales from the Crypt last night. For those of you who don't know, this is a Columbus Pilgrimage event. MSMS students research people who are buried in Friendship Cemetery and then give a dramatic presentation of their lives. We really enjoyed it.

Easter Projects

The girls had fun this afternoon doing a couple of Easter projects.
First they decorated Easter bunnies.
Aren't they cute?
Then they painted Easter eggs.
They had fun...
...and I think their projects turned out great. BE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN FOR MANY MORE EASTER POSTS!

Easter Family

We had a wonderful Easter service this morning at church followed by a great meal at my mother's with extended family. Here are a few pictures of my family.

Happy Easter

I hope you and your family are having a wonderful Easter and are busy celebrating the real meaning of Easter -- Jesus' love for us demonstrated through His sacrificial dying on the cross and His miraculous resurrection from the grave that we might have eternal life through Him and with Him. These are some pictures I took this weekend of the girls in their Easter dresses. Some were taken at The W with the ornamental cherry trees and some were taken in a beautiful yard downtown.

Easter Cookies

Anna Kate and Emma are excited about Easter tomorrow. We were busy today with all sorts of things, including softball practice. We meant to color our Easter eggs today, but we will do it tomorrow. We did get our Easter cookies baked. Of course, I took the easy way out by do the pre-formed kind.

Egg Hunt Fun

The girls had loads of fun yesterday at the Brickerton Egg hunt. They have been looking forward to it all week.
They saw the Easter bunny.
They painted ceramic Easter eggs.
I can't wait to pick the eggs up next Friday to add to our collection they have made over the years.
They loved doing the jumper. I think it is so nice that a church donated this for the children to play on for free.
They said hey to the dog walking around .
The egg hunts were fun as usual, even though they didn't find any of the prized eggs.
While Anna Kate was doing her hunt, Emma enjoyed blowing these things and making a wishes.
Emma had fun at her egg hunt too.
They also had fun playing the games.

Here's what they won -- a blow up bat and blow up pink guitar!
All of their eggs.

Emma's Egg

Emma had to decorate an egg for school for Thursday. They also had an egg hunt at school that day. It was a fun day for her.
