Carving the Pumpkin

We had fun carving our pumpkin!

Oh so messy!

But so much fun!

Happy Halloween

Here are some pictures of our girls in their Halloween outfits. Anna Kate was a bumblebee, and Emma was a cowgirl. Both were oh so cute!

Fall Festival

We had a great time Saturday night at our church's fall festival. There were tons of fun games, pony ride, candy and prizes.

Flowers

We spotted these flowers Friday night and couldn't resist a quick stop there Saturday morning on our way to get groceries. The light was pretty bright, so my picture really does not show how beautiful these flowers were growing on this fence line.

Church Choirs

The girls have been busy with church choir stuff this week.
Emma has graduated from Missions Friends Choir to Children's Choir. The Children's Choir performed three songs Wednesday night, including one with a kazoo. So cute. Emma is on the front row on the far left.
Anna Kate has graduated from the Children's Choir to the Youth Choir. The Youth Choir led the services last night and did a great job. Anna Kate is in the middle of this picture.

Middle School Homecoming Dance

Anna Kate had a great time attending the Middle School Homecoming Dance last night. Her boyfriend Dylan met her there and he gave her a homecoming corsage. So sweet!

Black and Gold Day

Friday was Black and Gold Day in honor of the Trojan's Homecoming. The football team won big, and we also are so proud of the Lady Trojans Softball Team who won today for their 13th State Championship in slowpitch softball. I was the starting catcher for the first two championships. We went to Jackson today to watch the softball team play.

Beautiful Flowers

We found this great patch of yellow flowers on our way home from the pumpkin patch and couldn't resist stopping for a few pictures.

Pumpkin Patch

We had a great time visiting Country Pumpkins this afternoon. Despite the fact that the pumpkin crop is low due to little rain, there were still tons of people there and plenty of pumpkins and fun.
We picked out a bunch of pumpkins to take home.

The girls had tons of fun doing all the activities -- sitting on the tractors, doing the swings, playing in the corn box, checking out the cotton, and many other things.
Then we headed over to our other favorite pumpkin spot -- Cherokee Pumpkins.
He was low on pumpkins too, but they were still fun to check out.
These were the girls' favorite gourdes.
Love this picture of our girls in front of the old truck.

First Fast Pitch Tournament

Yesterday was Anna Kate's first fast pitch softball tournament. She was chosen to play on a team called Columbus Raiders. They played four games -- won two, lost one and ended one with a tie.
She played second all day a did a great job. I wish I had gotten a picture of her diving for a ball. We are real proud of her for doing that. Tim is one of the coaches and coached first base.
Here are some pitures of her hitting. No big hits yesterday. Instead she did a lot of walking, which is okay too. Her base running was great with a couple of slides too.
Sweet little Emma hung in there with us all day. She got her face painted and her hair painted purple.

GA Mother/Daughter Weekend

The girls and I had a great time at Camp Garaywa for GA Mother/Daughter Weekend.
It was a special weekend for us to spend together learning more about God.
There were six girls and four moms from our church who attended.
We had fun playing games -- doing the crab crawl and the limbo.
We did hula hoop too. Anna Kate won this competition for three cabins of people in our group. Emma did great in this too. Me..not so good.
Here are the girls all ready for bed with their pillow pets. They had fun sleeping on the bunk beds.
Ready for the Saturday activities.
They made bracelets at craft time and played a game with balls at rec time. We also enjoyed hearing from a couple of missionaries.
Here they are on the front porch of our cabin holding a bunch of moss from the trees. The trees are full of the moss -- so pretty.
I am so glad my girls love Camp Garawya. I loved it too when I was a girl. I attended the week-long summer camp three summers.
They got new stuffed animals with Camp Garawya shirts.
I had such a good time with my girls. This was mine and Anna Kate's fifth and last time to attend the camp. This was Emma's first year to attend.
Time to say goodbye to camp. We loaded up our stuff (and Emma) and hauled it all in one of the large wheel barrows.
