Weekend Activities

We have had a busy weekend so far.
Anna Kate had a ball game Friday night, and they won 18-9. She started off at pitcher, and then she and the shortstop swapped places. It was different seeing her play shortstop for a couple of innings instead of pitcher, but she did great.
The girls have had so much fun this weekend playing with their cousin Riley who came from Tennessee for the weekend for a visit. Riley is my cousin's child. Riley and my Aunt Elise came for a vist so we could all say farewell to my brother who is moving to New Jersey on Monday. He will be missed.

This afternoon we went to Tuscaloosa to watch the University of Alabama fastpitch softball team play in the Super 16 Regionals. Unfortunately they lost 5-4 to Hawaii. They were expected to win since they were ranked #1 in the nation. If they had won, they would have been one of eight teams to advance to the World Series in Oklahoma. We have had so much fun watching tons of games on TV, and it was super fun to watch a live game. We will continue to follow it on TV and cheer for the other SEC teams who did advance.

Another Family of Geese

We have another family of geese living at our pond. We had a family of them last year. They have been here for a while. I had hoped to get a picture of them before the babies got real big, but I wasn't able to capture it until this morning.

Cupcakes

One last birthday celebration: I brought cupcakes to Anna Kate's ballgame last night so her teammates could celebrate with her. I had planned to bring them for Friday's game since Friday was her birthday, but unfortunately Friday's game got canceled because of rain. So, we just postponed the cupcakes until Monday. So glad her team won last night. Their record is now 8-1 with four games left. They have had two games rained out.

Anna Kate's Birthday Party

We had Anna Kate's birthday party today. It was a family swim party. We were sorry that Anna Kate's little cousins Philip and Hunter didn't feel well and couldn't come and that Natalie left early not feeling well. We hope they all feel better soon. Anyway, we had a great time celebrating with Anna Kate.

She had fun blowing out her candles and opening her presents. She loved all the money and Yellow Box flip flops.
Here's one with Natalie before she left.

As you can see from all the pictures, these three girls are little fish. They had such fun together.

We love you Anna Kate and hope you had a great birthday weekend.

Happy Birthday Tim

Happy Birthday to my sweet husband Tim! It's his 38th birthday. We have had a big weekend of it. We started off with the girls and I taking lunch to Tim at the woods Thursday (see pictures below). Friday was Anna Kate's birthday. We took her out to Tampico Bay that night. Today is Tim's birthday. I took him out to the Veranda tonight. Tomorrow we are having Anna Kate's party. Monday I am bringing cupcakes to Anna Kate's ballgame. I had planned to take them to Friday night's game, but that game got canceled due to rain.
Here are the girls with their daddy. Notice that they have on matching Bass Pro Shops t-shirts that their Granny and Granddaddy gave them recently. All the grandkids got shirts.
They loved riding in the loader with Tim. This was Emma's first time to ever do that.

Here are all three O'Bryant guys running their machines. Tim is on the left in the loader. Kevin in on the top right in the processer, and Derrick is on the bottom right in the cutter.
Here's Tim and Kevin working together to load a truck.
And more of Tim loading a truck. It is pretty neat to watch the whole operation.

Happy Birthday Anna Kate

I cannot believe our child is 11 today. Where has the time gone? I guess we will blink a few times and she will be a teenager. Yesterday was her last day of elementary school. She will be in middle school this fall and youth choir at church. Yes, our little girl is growing up, but she will always be our little girl. We are so proud of the young lady she is becoming -- sweet, smart, kind toward others, beautiful inside and out, and just a true blessing to our lives. Here are some pictures I took to mark her special day. We love you Anna Kate!

Emma's Awards Day

Emma had her kindergarten awards day this morning. I can't believe she is finished with kindergarten! Where did the year go?
She had a great year with Mrs. Campbell. Emma is going to miss her, but at least we get to see her at church.
Here's the gang. Emma made some sweet friends this year. These are her best buddies.
Another picture of Emma with Mrs. Campbell, plus assistant teacher Ms. Lollar.
Now for the awards. Emma got her certificate for passing kindergarten, perfect attendance award, and helping hands award.

We are so proud of you Emma!

Church Choir Programs

Anna Kate and Emma both had their church choir performances last night. They did a great job!
Emma's choir did a bunch of praise songs, and their leaders asked them to all wear sports uniforms. Emma thought this was great.
They had fun waving these flags.
Anna Kate's choir did a patriotic theme since it is close to Memorial Day.
She had a major speaking part.
She also had a solo.

So proud of our girls. I can't believe this was Anna Kate's last performance in Children's Choir. She will be in youth choir this fall, and this was Emma's last performance in Mission Friends. She will be in Children's Choir.

20th Class Reunion

Tim had his 20th high school class reunion. We had a great time seeing some people we haven't seen in a long time.
