Memorial Day

Hope you are having a great Memorial Day weekend. On our way to Walmart today, we stopped by the First Baptist Church where they have tons of flags on the lawn in honor of Memorial Day. The girls enjoyed checking them out. Here are some pics.

Tim's Birthday

Tim had a good birthday weekend. I took him out to eat Friday night at Cypress Inn in Tucaloosa. The girls gave him a cheesecake, which is one of his favorite treats. We went to church this morning. That's where the pictures below are from. Now he is watching the Indy 500, eating a piece of cheesecake and reading the newspaper. Check out these pics below. These girls sure do love their daddy -- and I do too!

Happy Birthday, Tim!

Today is my hubby's birthday. Number 37! Although I don't have a photo of him to share this morning (but I plan to take some this weekend), I do have this pretty picture I took of a rainbow that the girls and I spotted on the way to school and work this morning. It reminds me of Tim and the love I have for him -- vibrant, full of promise, and never ending. I love you, Tim, and hope you have a great day.

GA Mission Recognition

Our church had its GA and RA Mission Recognition Ceremony last night. Anna Kate got 23 badges. Way to go Anna Kate!

Our Geese

We have a family of geese living around our pond. The travel back and forth between the pond in our front yard and the tall grass in the back yard. I wish I had thought to take a picture when the babies were smaller. They were so cute.

Church Choirs

Anna Kate and Emma had their church choir performances Sunday night, and they did great. Here's Emma before her program.

Here's Emma's preschool choir. She is on the back row second from the left.
She had so much fun singing. We were so proud of her.
Their program was about church. So, here they are singing about here's the church, here's the steeple...
Open the church, and here's the people.
Yep, that's our drama queen!
Anna Kate's program was next. It was called "Praise Out Loud."
In addition to singing, they are played instruments. Anna Kate played a drum and blew a whistle.
She also had a speaking part.
And a quartet singing part. We were so proud of her.
Here she is playing her drum.
It was a super cute program.

Anna Kate's Birthday Party

We had Anna Kate's 10th birthday party -- a Camp Rock sleepover -- at our house last night. We had a great time, and despite my fears that the girls would stay up all night and turn my house into a disaster zone, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Anna Kate was happy, so we were happy too. She is sitting on the floor in front of the windows in the dining room watching for her guests to arrive. By the way, her Aunt Samantha made her birthday shirt with an "A" made out of Camp Rock material. Thanks, Samantha!
She loved opening all her gifts. She got several Camp Rock things -- pajamas, blanket and beach towel.
She also got two pair of Yellow Box flip flops. She was so excited. She got a scooter from us. She is hoping for some sunshine this afternoon so she can ride it some more.
Cake time! Isn't my nephew Hunter cute singing to Anna Kate?
My niece Natalie (far left) was so sweet too. We were so sorry that Abby and Philip didn't feel well and couldn't come. We missed you. After the family left, then the spend the night party began. Anna Kate and her four friends had a lot of fun. They had a ball singing and dancing to Anna Kate's new CD's, Hannah Montana the Movie and Taylor Swift. Then they did a bead craft project.
They made lots of cute bead projects.
Then it was nail painting time. I bought several new colors.
They ended up painting their nails all different colors. Some even put polka dots on their nails.

Emma spent the night with my parents so Anna Kate could have her friends to herself. When she got home this morning, she made several bead projects too.
So cute!
She liked the flower the best.
Happy Birthday, Anna Kate! We love you.

Emma's Preschool Graduation

Emma's preschool held its graduation ceremony tonight. It was such a cute program. Emma did great and was so excited to graduate.
They each had a talking part about the alphabet.
Then they did some singing and dancing. Super cute!
Finally it was time to put on their caps and gowns and come down the aisle.
They were so cute all lined up in their caps and gowns.
Here's Mrs. Kim giving Emma her diploma.
Finally, they have all graduated.
Isn't she cute?
We are so proud of you Emma!
Thank you, Mrs. Kim, for being such a great teacher and preparing Emma for kindergarten this fall.
I love this picture. She seems so grown up, but so small. If only they could stay little forever.
