Anna Kate's tournament team won the ASA State Tournament in Columbus this weekend.
They played Friday night and all day Saturday and did great. We are so proud of them.
Since the tournament was local, we had lots of extra fans, including my mom and Emma. Look at the cute sign Emma made for Anna Kate.Anna Kate pitched all the games, striking out seven and only walking two for the whole tournament. She didn't walk any Saturday.
She had some great hits, including two really good ones Friday night.
The proud coach and daughter. You probably can't tell, but it is pouring down raining in this picture. We had two delays Saturday due to lightening. In fact, we were in the top of the seventh with one out and only needed to get to more outs to win the championship game when we had one of the delays. When we resumed play, they had to play in the pouring down rain. That was an experience. Now we are gearing up for the USSSA World tournament coming up next.
