Beach Fun

We had a great time this past week in Panama City Beach for our summer vacation.

The girls had tons of fun playing on the beach.

We did lots of snorkeling to find shells.

We had to get a picture in the giant beach chair.

Our beach girls -- they had so much fun and really did not want to leave. In addition to being able to walk right out on the beach from our room, our resort had so many other fun things to do.

One night we walked on the beach just after sunset.

I love the beach at night...so pretty.

Another night we went to a Polonesian Show at our resort.

Our resort had many different swimming pools, including this one with a big slide.

They also had a really fun lazy river. That was my favorite.

I love having a water proof camera so I can take fun underwater shots.

Our resort also had a miniature golf course that was fun.

We spent most of our time at our resort, but one day Tim took us to a nearby state park that had jetties. Tim went scuba diving for a cache while we played. He did six dives during our vacation. 

The last dive he did was on our way home at a fresh water spring. It had a neat cave that he was able to swim into. 

Birthday with Trevor

Anna Kate's birthday was May 21, and her boyfriend Trevor's birthday was May 20. They both turned 13. He came by our house the week of their birthdays and brought Anna Kate a present -- a really pretty necklace, earrings and ring. She also had a gift for him.

Big Birthdays

We had a family party yesterday to celebrate Anna Kate's 13th birthday (May 21) and Tim's 40th birthday (May 22).

Anna Kate had a rainbow cake and Tim had a cheesecake.

State Runner Up

Unfortunately, New Hope lost two games to Wayne County and finished State Runner Up. It was disappointing, but the girls should still be very proud of the great season they had. The varsity finished 27-6-1 (tie) and the junior varsity 9-2-2 (tie).

Off to State Tournament

The New Hope Fast Pitch Team left yesterday for Ridgeland for the State Championship series to be held this weekend. Go Trojans!

We are playing the Wayne County War Eagles. One of the parents made this for the bus.

Emma Gets Her GA Vest

Wednesday night was GA Recognition Night. Emma got her GA vest with all her patches.

Softball Fun

After practice last night, the team had a fun night of pizza, swimming and games. Here are a couple of pictures of the team with silly head bands on and covered in shaving cream and peanut butter.
