Decorating for Christmas

I am happy to say that we got all of our Christmas decorations up today.
The girls had fun helping me decorate the tree.

Aren't they cute?

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great time spending Thanksgiving with the O'Bryants. I don't have any family pictures of our little family. I hope to take some special ones this weekend, but here are some pictures I took of Tim and his siblings.
Tim, Kevin, Derrick and Samantha.
Tim and his brothers.
Tim and his sister.
I also shot this picture of Anna Kate and Stella, the oldest and the youngest of the seven O'Bryant cousins.

Story Board Project

Anna Kate turned in her Story Board project today. I think she did a good job!

Shoe Boxes

Our family again participated in the Operation Christmas Child shoebox project. Anna Kate and Emma had fun buying things for their boxes and packing them. We took them to church yesterday.

Working on my Christmas cards through Shutterfly

I am so excited that Christmas card time is upon us. I love getting prepared for and taking my Christmas card pictures and then playing around on Shutterfly (http://www.shutterfly.com/) to decide which card I am going to use. After a last minute change on what dresses my girls were going to wear for the pictures (Emma has decided she doesn't like smocked stuff very much anymore, so we had to buy a new dress.), we took pictures this past Sunday. We went to Lake Lowndes again. The weather/lighting was perfect, and the girls did an awesome job. I am so pleased with the pictures I got. Above is a sneak peak at one of the pictures I took that I am not planning to use on our card. I have been glued to Shutterfly ever since I took the pictures trying to decide what card to use. I will tell you this has been no easy task as Shutterfly has tons of fabulous new card designs. Hundreds of them -- cards on photo paper, cards on cardstock (including new 5X5 designs, and folded cards. Check them out at http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/holiday-cards. I don't know how I will ever choose. I am leaning toward one of their simplier designs that showcases the pictures. But whatever I choose, I know I won't be disappointed. I have used Shutterfly the last two years for our Christmas cards, and I have been very happy. Here's our 2009 card: http://jillsjot.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-card.html. Here's our 2008 card: http://jillsjot.blogspot.com/2008/12/our-christmas-card.html. Not only have I not been disappointed with our Christmas cards, but I also have never been disappointed with anything I have printed at Shutterfly, and that includes our 2009 12X12 photo book, brag books for grandparents, and Valentine's, Easter and birthday cards (http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery). I am even considering sending Thanksgiving cards (http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/thanksgiving-cards), but I guess I better get in gear if I am going to do that! I'm also printing our 2011 calendars through Shutterfly. Shutterfly often runs specials on cards and other products and sometimes offers free shipping. Here's a deal I am using: Bloggers get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly, follow http://bit.ly/sfly2010. Some of my family members and friends already use Shutterfly for their Christmas cards. If you don't, you should give Shutterfly a try. Then send me your card. The only thing better than preparing and sending our Christmas cards is receiving them from our family and friends.
